Group HR Director

Job description

The Group HR Director is responsible for guiding and directing the overall provisions of HR services, policies

and programs for the entire company. Specifically, this position oversees and directs all recruiting, employee
relations, compensation and benefits administration, change management and training and development
programs for the company. This role is key in developing and nurturing an inspiring work culture by putting
opportunities for group engagement into place. In addition, the Group HR Director is responsible for internal
development of branding and communication and employer branding.
Under the leadership of the VP of HR, the Group HR Director will provide a proactive, effective and business focused Human Resources solution to the HQ in Amsterdam and the regional offices in the European region,
in line with the company strategy, policies and procedures amongst the business units and corporate teams
of the region.

Requirements

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You are an experienced HR professional with a demonstrable track record of excelling in people operations and have a strong approach to people strategy;
  • You will be currently working in a bespoken lifestyle environment, ideally within the hospitality;
  • In a past life you may have supported Hotel openings or department set up;
  • You come from a hospitality background with a strong knowledge of hotel operations and employee relations;
  • You are someone who is comfortable with a high-profile leadership role;
  • You will have a good understanding and proven experience with the commercial aspects of the business;
  • You will live and breathe each of Europe Hotels Private Collection brand senior leader behaviors;
  • You will contribute to the hospitality industry by being involved in local committees, championing career development, attending networking events.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor or University degree in Human Resources Management; an advanced degree or professional certification preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a HR leadership role preferably in hospitality or a lifestyle service based industry within a global company;
  • Proven experience includes hands-on responsibility for the full scope of HR activities;
  • Expert in Dutch employment law and basic labor relations knowledge in the regions of operations;
  • Good working knowledge of Payroll & HR Information Systems;
  • Advance level of English required for both written and verbal communication;
  • Ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches and departmental contribution while being cost-sensitive;
  • Proficient at statistical analysis and able to meet deadlines;
  • Availability for occasional travel.
